We are seeking help in doing event management for monthly tech meet-up events that we do around NYC and New Jersey.  The perfect candidate desires to help grow a technical association and is seeking a flexible part-time that could become a full-time project.
 
Responsibilities include;
- Working with corporate venue point of contacts on a repeatable event process for 100 - 400 people
- Select and order catering
- Select and order marketing items
- Select and order banners and related advertising
- Confirm speakers
- Confirm meeting co-sponsors
- Pick up and Drop off at UPS/FedEx Store before/after events.
- Use a contact manager (ZOHO CRM) or logging tasks/calls/follow-ups
- Be present at the check-in of the event to greet attendees as the "community manager".
After the meeting has started to provide misc support during the event and enjoy the community that you are helping to build.
SKILLS
Having a high comfort level with GoogleApps (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Forms)
++ Having experience with professional association not for profit management
++ Having a general interest in technology ++ 
++ Living in NYC or Northern New Jersey area required as we will have face to face meetings as well as video conferencing as required.
